Your Rooted Power

Created as a foundational practice to connect you to your roots and bring you closer to your essence so you can start from a grounded place. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, dissociated or somewhere in-between, you can use this guided practice again and again to help you to reconnect with your body and your breath and to regulate your nervous system. From this place, the journal questions will allow you to pause, reflect and reconnect with the truth of your relationship to power.

STEP 1.

Introduction to Your Rooted Power.

Create a cosy space for yourself where you can be uninterrupted. Get some cushions and a blanket, maybe light a candle and have your journal or pen and paper handy so you can be ready to explore the questions straight after the guided audio.

Your Rooted Power Visualisation and Journal Questions

Journal questions on the theme of power.

  • Where in your life do you feel powerful/powerless and how does it impact you?

  • When you think of the word power, what do you feel in your body and what stories come up?

  • Who has the power in your relationship dynamics? Do you feel like you have more of a voice with some people than others? Who do you explain yourself away to? Why?

  • In your interactions with others, what are your main triggers?The things that cause dysregulation, keep repeating and are where you feel most activated.

  • During these triggered situations, what do you notice? How do you respond and how might you be giving your power away?

  • How would you feel and what would your life be like if you were to reclaim more of your innate power?

  • What resources and support would you need to gather in to make this a reality?
